Luckily I was with a Park Slope native so it was all good. God luck on your slow down..i would love all the people watching involved.Robbiehttp://fracturedfamilytales.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118261797831917447.post-29817798237687205912012-11-17T14:13:20.244-05:002012-11-17T14:13:20.244-05:00Out here in the heartland, we joke about rush minu...Out here in the heartland, we joke about rush minute. Sometimes the pace here is a little slow for me, but in general I appreciate not rushing. Love the pic! If you're the one person operating a reasonable pace in a station full of people behaving like caffeinated hamsters it's easy to start to think that something's wrong with you.Larkshttp://larksnotesthis.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118261797831917447.post-38074364460463511612012-11-16T16:09:44.347-05:002012-11-16T16:09:44.347-05:00So true, glad you want to slow down a little! It is so nice to hear from someone who also had a bit of a rough transition to Westchester to Manhattan. I really do like it, and I am thrilled about our house, but it is definitely an adjustment. I have never done particularly well with big, life-altering change, and a move is about as life-altering as you can get. Everything from where I get coffee, to where I grocery shop has become a bit more complicated as I try and find my way around my new city, but the truth is, every day it feels a little more like home. Happy Friday!Samantha Brinn Merelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15109435460094526642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5118261797831917447.post-37075777980029290382012-11-16T13:20:56.497-05:002012-11-16T13:20:56.497-05:00I totally hear you! I moved up here just over a year ago, and honestly it took me about a year to ACTUALLY adjust to life in the 'burbs. I had been in Manhattan for about 8 years. The transition was a little rough at first and I still have moments where I really miss living in the city, but for the most part I really really truly enjoy the slower pace of life up here and I physically feel relaxed when I get home after a long day of work in the city.
